Military and First Responder Appreciation


At Ford Motor Company, we believe those who go above and beyond deserve to be recognized.

The Ford Recognition Programs demonstrate our gratitude to those individuals who impact their communities for the better. Through these programs, military personnel and first responders are eligible for an exclusive cash reward toward the purchase or lease of eligible new Ford or Lincoln vehicles! Who is Eligible?

The Exclusive Cash Reward is available to eligible military personnel and first responders who are residents of the United States. All U.S. Military Branches - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard- are included. See below for details regarding eligibility.

Active Duty

Active Military Personnel of any eligible U.S. Military Branch, including:

  • National Guard
  • Reservists serving on Active Duty
  • Members of the Delayed Entry/Enlistment Program (DEP)
  • Spouse/Surviving Spouse
  • Members within the same household

Retirees

Retired Military Personnel of any eligible U.S. Military Branch, including:

  • Regular Retirement
  • Reserve Retirement
  • Early Retirement (TERA)
  • Medical Retirement
  • Spouse/Surviving Spouse
  • Members within the same household

Veterans

Honorably discharged veterans within 24 months of separation are eligible. You may qualify for a special regional incentive regardless of separation date.

Law Enforcement Officers

  • Active Police Officers (Federal, State, and Local)
  • Sheriff / Sheriff's Deputy
  • Correctional Officer (Private, for-profit correctional institutions also acceptable)
  • State Trooper
  • Federal Law Enforcement Officer (examples: Customs & Border Protection Officer, Air Marshal, etc.)
  • Park Police & Park Rangers
  • Pretrial Services Officers
  • Probation & Parole Officers
  • Bridge & Tunnel Officers
  • Detention Officers (Private, for-profit correctional institutions also acceptable)
  • Railroad Police Officers
  • School Resource Officers
  • Auxiliary & Reserve Sheriff Deputy or Police Officers
  • Animal Control Officers who are credentialed as Law Enforcement Officers
  • Fire Marshals who are certified Law Enforcement Officers
  • Court Bailiffs/Court Officers (must have law enforcement credentials)

Firefighters

  • Career Firefighter(Federal, State and Local)
  • Wild-land Firefighter/ Prescribed fire burn manager
  • Volunteer Firefighter
  • Fire Marshal

Emergency Medical Technicians

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Paramedic
  • Medical Helicopter Pilot

911 Dispatchers

  • Police, Sheriff, Fire or EMS Dispatcher
  • Fire Communications Officer
  • Public Safety Telecommunicator

Proof of Eligibility

When verifying your military status, you may be asked to upload military documentation. Verify military eligibility using one of these items listed below:

  • Active Duty Service Members: Leave & Earnings Statement (LES), Active duty Enlisted Record Brief (ERB)/Officer Record Brief (ORB), Enlistment Contract
  • Veterans: DD214 (Discharge Details Form 214), NGB form 22 (National Guard Bureau similar to a DD214), Veterans Health Identification Card (VHIC), or Veteran Identification Card (VIC), Driver's License or DMV-Issued State ID with VETERAN endorsement
  • Retirees: Retiree Account Statement (eRAS), DD214 or NGB form 22 (must show 20 years of service or the reason for discharge was retirement)
  • Surviving Spouses & Household members: upload any of the military documents listed in the categories above. Surviving Spouses can also submit a Casualty Report (DD Form 1300).

Verify First Responder eligibility using one of the items listed below:

  • Law Enforcement Officers: Valid law enforcement ID card, paystub, Standard Form 50 (SF-50).Note: U.S. government IDs cannot be used for verification purposes. TSA ID cards are NOT accepted.
  • Firefighter: Must have active Proboard certification, must have U.S. Social Security Number, valid firefighter ID card, recent training completion certificate, a copy of a valid and professionally-issued certification illustrating firefighter status, paystub.
  • EMT/Paramedic: Valid EMT/Paramedic ID card, recent training completion certificate, a copy of a valid and government-issued certification illustrating EMT/Paramedic status, paystub.
  • 911 Dispatcher: Recent training completion certificate, a copy of a valid and professionally-issued certification illustrating 911 Dispatcher status, paystub.
